In Sawtelle, framing is complete for a new affordable housing development just north of Stoner Park.

Located at 1747 Stoner Avenue, the project from Los Angeles-based development firm Passo consists of a six-story building that will feature 53 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.

Passo utilized density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than would have otherwise been allowed by zoning rules. With the exception of mandatory manager's units, the building will be restricted to rent by  low- and moderate-income households.

Aero Collective is designing the contemporary low-rise structure, which is depicted in a rendering as a contemporary podium-type building.

The project is one of four that Passo is currently building on the Westside, including a nearby project along Barrington Avenue. Passo has plans for additional projects in the Sawtelle neighborhood on along Saltair Avenue and Exposition Boulevard.
