After nine months of construction, Century Housing is now four stories about ground at the Beacon, a new affordable housing complex in Downtown Long Beach.

The project, located next to the Blue Line's Anaheim Station, will feature 160 residential units catering to seniors and veteran in two buildings known as Beacon Place and Beacon Pointe.  Plans also call for amenities such as a gym, a public plaza, supportive services, and 6,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The five- and seven-story buildings were both designed by the Architects Collective.

The Beacon development is part of a larger pipeline of affordable housing in Downtown Long Beach consisting of more than 500 total units.
