A vacant lot which abuts the Midtown Crossing shopping center is slated for redevelopment with affordable housing, according to a notice published by the City of Los Angeles.
The project site, located at 1327 S. West Boulevard, sits just south of Pico Boulevard in Mid-City. Plans call for the construction of a four-story, 43-foot-tall building featuring 27 apartments - including 26 low- and extremely low-income units and one market-rate manager's unit.
A project description states that the building would be approximately 12,900 square feet in size, and indicates that no on-site parking is proposed. however, the project will include 28 long-term bicycle parking spaces and three-short term bicycle parking spaces on its ground floor.

City records list the project applicant as West Towers, LLC, a Los Angeles-based entity affiliated with Golshan Properties. The developer has recently sought entitlements for similar affordable housing projects, all without on-site parking, at properties in Boyle Heights, Pico-Union, and South Los Angeles.
The development site is located a few blocks west of the intersection of Pico and Crenshaw Boulevards, where a larger mixed-use affordable housing complex for seniors made its debut last year.
