An image sent by photographer Michael Hayes shows that Meta Housing Corporation is nearing completion on an affordable housing complex near Hollywood/Western Station.

The project, located at 5400 Hollywood Boulevard, consists of a five-story structure featuring 40 subsidized apartments and approximately 3,300 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.  The podium-type building will offer a mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, in addition to a children's play area and a rooftop amenity deck.

Other partners on the development included WSH Management and Y & M Architects.

Meta built a 120-unit senior apartment complex nearby in 2012.

A large market-rate residential development is now underway adjacent to the historic Mayer Building.
