Trammell Crow Residential is entering the home stretch at its Alexan Bahay development in Historic Filipinotown

The six-story building, now under construction at 1910 W. Temple Street, will feature 200 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking.

The podium-type development, designed by SCALA, includes a central courtyard with a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a club lounge.

Rents at Alexan Bahay will range from $2,130 per month for a studio unit to $4,355 per month for a two-bedroom dwelling.

The 1.7-acre development site was previously home to the L.A. Derby Dolls women's roller derby league, which has since relocated.

Less than a quarter-mile south, Los Angeles-based developer CityView recently broke ground on a similar mixed-use project at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Bonnie Brae Street.

Trammell Crow Residential is also developing a 436-unit apartment complex near the Monrovia Gold Line station and a mixed-use high-rise project in Downtown Long Beach.
