Roughly 17 months after breaking ground, the wood frame of AMP Lofts has topped out in the Arts District.
The seven-story structure, located at 695 Santa Fe Ave, is being developed by Greystar Real Estate Partners. It will include 320 live/work apartments above 20,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. The project will also include 420 parking spaces in a subterranean garage, a fitness center, a clubhouse, and a courtyard.
Shimoda Design Group is designing Amp Lofts, with direction from Steinberg Hart. The project will pay tribute to Amp Automotive - the previous tenant of the property - by incorporating brickwork from the buildings that once stood on the site.
Just a few blocks away near 4th & Alameda streets, Greystar is working on plans for another seven-story mixed-use development.
