With city approvals now in hand, plans for a boutique hotel at 1525 Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood are finally moving forward.

The project, which first emerged in 2014, would replace a nondescript commercial building with a seven-story hotel, featuring 55 guest rooms, ground-floor retail space and a rooftop pool deck.

Renderings of the development, which is being designed by nKlosures, portray a mid-rise structure with a setback above its third floor.

Local developer Relevant Group has started building a hotel district on the surrounding blocks, starting with the new Dream Hollywood on Selma Avenue.  Its future pipeline includes a Thompson Hotel, a Tommie Hotel, and an unnamed establishment on a property abuttinig the Dream.
