Los Angeles-based real estate firm Canfield Development is in the midst of construction on a multifamily residential complex in the heart of Koreatown.

The project, located at thee northwest corner of 5th Street and Kenmore Avenue, will consist of a seven-story edifice featuring 64 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments above two floors of above-grade parking.  Plans also call for an outdoor amenity deck with a jacuzzi, a barbeque area and seating.

Renderings from Nadel Architects portray a contemporary building clad with white stucco and wood panels.

Completion of the $22-million development is expected in 2018.
