A year-and-a-half after we last dropped by, construction has topped out at The Pacific, a multifamily residential development in Downtown Long Beach.
The project, which is being developed by Sares-Regis Group, is just north of the Long Beach Civic Center at 3rd Street and Pacific Avenue. The seven-story building will feature a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings - including 17 affordable units - and two levels of basement parking. Plans also call for a roof deck, a pool courtyard, and a fitness center. Though the apartment complex will not include street-fronting retail, townhome units will line its ground floor.
The contemporary mid-rise structure is designed by Studio One Eleven with MJS Landscape Architecture. Renderings depict a colorful exterior lined with inset balconies.
At the time of the project's groundbreaking, completion was anticipated in Summer 2019.
The development site is located just north of AMLI Park Broadway, a mixed-use complex from AMLI Residential.
The Pacific is one of three developments now being built by Sares-Regis Group in Downtown Long Beach.
