California Landmark Group (CLG), a Los Angeles-based real estate developer, is planning a new residential complex along the border between the Palms neighborhood and Culver City.
The project, known as the Dunn Apartments, would replace an approximately half-acre parking lot at 3838 Dunn Drive. The proposed building would rise seven stories, featuring 79 market rate apartments, seven units of affordable housing and a partially below-grade garage. Proposed amenities include a fitness center, a community room and a nearly 2,000-square-foot roof deck.
According to a representative from CLG, the Dunn Apartments are being designed by Rios Clementi Hale Studios, a locally-based firm with an extensive portfolio of multi-family residential developments. An artistic rendering of the project portrays a primarily white and grey building, featuring yellow accents and a green wall to mask its at-grade parking level.
As of this past May, CLG is seeking approval from the Department of Building and Safety to demolish the existing parking lot and begin shoring for the new apartment building. However, an exact timeline for the project is currently unknown.
The Dunn Apartments would be located immediately north of NMS@Culver City, a large mixed-use development currently under construction at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Hughes Avenue.
