A ten-year-old proposal to redevelop a vacant lot in MacArthur Park has been revived, according to plans filed with the City of Los Angeles.
The project, slated for a 16,000-square-foot property at 820 S. Hoover Street, calls for the construction of a five-story building featuring 44 apartments above 2,168 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 57-car garage.
The development site was previously slated for a 32-unit condominium complex, which stalled during the global recession.
Additional details about the project are currently unclear.
Two larger developments are planned a short distance west along 7th Street.
