CIM Group's latest mixed-use development in Hollywood is now beginning to rise above ground level.

The project, located at the northeast corner of La Brea and Willoughby Avenues, will consist of a seven-story building featuring  169 apartments and 37,000 square feet of street-fronting retail space.  The mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom units will include 14 apartments for very low-income households, seated above an underground parking structure.

Architecture firm Shubin + Donaldson is designing the building, which will feature an exterior of glass, steel troweled plaster, and perforated metal panels.  CIM and Shubin + Donaldson are also building a collection of duplexes across the street.

Completion is anticipated in 2019.
