Construction has topped out at 8777 Washington Boulevard, where developers Clarion Partners and LPC West are building the new Culver City headquarters of Apple's content division.
The four-story building, located at the intersection of Washington and National Boulevards, will feature 128,000 square feet of offices with 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and basement parking.
Gensler designed the contemporary glass-and-steel structure, which will feature floor-to-ceiling windows on its upper levels.
After completion, which is anticipated to occur in late 2019, 8777 Washington is anticipated to serve as the centerpiece of Apple's Culver City operations. Apple will reportedly employ more than 1,000 people in Culver City by 2022.
Apple is being joined by HBO, which recently announced plans to relocate its West Coast headquarters to a 240,000-square-foot office building now construction adjacent to Metro's Culver City Station across the street.
