A fourplex just east of the I-405 freeway in Bel Air could be redeveloped with a new development of small lot homes, according to plans submitted late last year to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The project site, which consists of two parcels located at 11370-11376 W. Ovada Place, calls for razing the existing 1940s building to make way for the construction of nine single-family residences.
Architect Amit Apel is designing the proposed development, which would consist of contemporary three- and four-story houses arranged in two rows around a common driveway. Plans call for a mix of two- and three-bedroom floors plans, each of which would include a street-level parking garage and a rooftop deck.
City records list the property owner and developer of the project as Victor Joe, through the San Marino-based entity 11370 Ovada Project, LLC. Los Angeles County Assessor's records indicate the site last sold in early 2020 for $2.8 million.
