Related California, less than a year into construction on 1755 Argyle, is already making an impact on Hollywood's skyline.
Slated for completion in 2018, the 18-story tower at Yucca Street and Argyle Avenue will offer 114 rental apartments above 2,100 squar efeet of commercial space and a 201-car garage.
Large Architecture designed the 177-foot tower, which exhibits traits of the mid-century modern style, including a seamless blend between its indoor and outdoor spaces. Its use of alternating floor plates is intended to create a "dynamic facade," and represents a unique feature among Los Angeles area high-rise buildings.
1755 Argyle follows the Argyle Hotel, a Kimpton-operated facility nearing completion directly across the street. Two other tower projects are also in the works for properties near the Capitol Records Building.
