A City-owned property in South Los Angeles could be offered up as a potential site for affordable housing, according to a motion put forth by 9th District Councilmember Curren Price.

The approximately-half acre lot is located at 8509 S. Broadway, just east of the 110 Freeway and north of Manchester Avenue.  It currently serves as public parking for nearby businesses.

Moving forward, Price's motion instructs the City Administrative Officer, along with the Chief Legislative Analyst and Department of General Services to review the property's suitability for development as affordable housing.
