In Pico-Robertson, construction is complete for the Bhatia Family Village, a new mixed-use project which will provide housing for neurodiverse adults.
Developed by Cornerstone Housing for Adults with Disabilities, the new six-story building occupies a corner lot located at 9224 W. Pico Boulevard. The podium-type building includes 64 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above 9,400 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 55-car basement garage.
While all of the apartments are supportive housing for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the project also includes eight units of deed-restricted very low-income affordable housing.
Urban Architecture Lab designed the project, which includes a second-level terrace, a third-level courtyard, and a rooftop deck.
The complex is named for the Ramesh and Kalpana Bhatia Family Foundation, which provided funding for the project.
