A half-year after commencing work in Burbank, the first concrete wall has been tilted at the Warner Bros. Ranch Lot, Worthe Real Estate Group announced earlier this month.

The project, which is a joint venture between Worthe and Stockbridge Real Estate Fund, will transform the roughly 30-acre property at 3701 W. Oak Street through the addition of 16 soundstages, which are fully leased by Warner Bros. Plans also call for a parking garage, a 326,000-square-foot office complex, and other ancillary facilities to serve the studio campus.

"This is a big milestone for us, and we couldn’t be more excited for what this project means for the city of Burbank, our long-standing relationship with Warner Bros. and the entire business community in the greater Los Angeles area," said Worthe Real Estate president Jeff Worthe in a news release. "This project will transform the area and usher in a new stage of growth for this vibrant community.” 

Worthe and Stockbridge secured a  $480-million loan for the redevelopment last year.

The project follows Worthe's completion of the Second Century office complex at the Burbank Studios, which includes 800,000 square feet of offices for Warner Bros. The seven-and nine-story buildings were designed by Frank Gehry.

The Ranch Lot is part of a Worthe portfolio that includes 13 buildings in Burbank. Outside of Burbank, the developer is working with Frank Gehry on a proposed hotel and residential complex on Ocean Avenue in Downtown Santa Monica.
