A new apartment complex catering to students at Cal State University Northridge is on track to open for residents in August 2024, per a leasing website.

The project, built by West Los Angeles-based Symphony Development, is located on a 1.5-acre site at 9530-9546 N. Reseda Boulevard, where it replaced a post office and an adjoining parking lot. The new four-story building will feature 118 studio, one-, two-, and four-bedroom apartments above roughly 5,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and basement parking for more than 200 vehicles.

According to the leasing website, prices for shared accommodations start at $995 per month, while private rooms begin at $2,250 per month.

Steinberg Hart designed the apartment complex, named Ensemble, which is a contemporary low-rise structure featuring a central courtyard with a swimming pool, a paseo, a rooftop deck, and fitness rooms.

The apartment complex is the latest in a small handful of new developments taking shape around the CSUN campus, including a larger 146-unit apartment building with retail which opened recently on a nearby site fronting Nordhoff Street. Other big projects include the school's Autodesk Technology Engagement Center, which broke ground last year.
