Well over one year after our last update, the protective tarps are gone at Hollywood's Tommie Hotel, revealing the eight-story building's facade.

The project, which is being developed by Relevant Group, replaces a surface parking lot at 6516-6526 W. Selma Avenue with 212 guest rooms and multiple food-and-beverage venues.  Parking for visitors and hotel guests will be located in a subterranean garage beneath the mid-rise structure.

Steinberg Hart is designing the Tommie, which is built with a concrete frame.  Renderings depict a rooftop pool deck, as well as other amenities such as an active courtyard along the eastern property line which opens to a rear-facing courtyard.

Construction of the Tommie is on pace to conclude in Summer 2021.

The project is the third in a series of Hollywood developments from Relevant Group, following the Dream Hotel, which is open a block east on Selma, and a Thompson Hotel now in the end stages of construction on an adjacent property facing Wilcox Avenue.

Relevant Group, which is based in Hollywood, is planning a fourth hotel at the intersection of Selma and Wilcox, and is also behind plans for renovations and expansions of the historic Hotel Barclay and Morrison Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Tommie sits directly across Selma from a parking lot which is also slated to make way for a new hotel development, and a short walk south from the future site of the Hollywood Arts Collective affordable housing complex.
