A used car dealership on Hawthorne Boulevard could make way for a dual-branded Hilton Hotel, according to a project now being considered by the City of Lawndale.

The development site, located at the northwest corner of 153rd Street and Hawthorne Avenue, is slated for the construction of a five-story, 195-room hotel which would be split between a Hampton Inn and a Home2 Suites.  Plans also call for 206 parking spaces, located in a surface lot and two subterranean garage levels.

The project's design team includes Robert F. Tuttle Architect and Fish Landscape.  Renderings depict a contemporary low-rise building which would incorporate limited guest amenities and a pool deck.

The development applicant is listed as Ashok Patel of Laguna Beach-based Sagemont Hotels.
