Holland Partner Group has begun clearing a T-shaped property in Downtown Long Beach where the Vancouver, Washington-based organization plans to construct a mixed-use development featuring apartments and ground-floor commercial uses.
The Pacific-Pine Project, named for its location between Pacific and Pine Avenues to the south of 7th Street, will consist of two eight-story buildings featuring 271 rental apartments, 1,305 square feet of street-fronting commercial uses, and structured parking for 341 vehicles on three basement levels. The mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units will range between 499 and 1,423 square feet in size. Plans call for 11 units to be set aside for moderate-income households.
MVE + Partners is designing the project, which will feature five levels of wood-frame construction above a three-story concrete podium. Plans call for an exterior of smooth stucco, glass, and aluminum with multiple outdoor decks.
A timeline for the project has not been announced.
A short distance north, a 10-story assisted living facility is planned at 810 Pine Avenue.
