A trio of 1940s duplexes in Venice are set to be razed and redeveloped with for-sale condos, following a vote taken on July 13 by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.
The project from KMK Capital Corp., submitted to the Planning Department for review in February 2022, would rise from two parcels located just south of Venice Boulevard at 2308-2310 S. Pisani Place. Plans call for the construction of a new four-story, approximately 15,000-square-foot building featuring eight one-, two-, and three-bedroom condominium ranging from 500 to 2,000 square feet in size.
As a condition of approval for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules, the Pisani Place condos would include three units set aside for low- and very low-income households.
Breakform Design, which frequently works on projects in the Venice area, is designing the Pisani Place development, which is depicted as a contemporary low-rise structure clad in stucco, aluminum siding, and wood. Plans call for private decks on the upper level three-bedroom units.
