Eight small lot homes on the rise at 4437 Centinela Ave. in Del Rey

In Del Rey, a pair of single-family homes have been cleared away for the construction of a small lot subdivision.

The project, located at 4437-4445 Centinela Avenue, will consist of eight single-family homes arranged in two rows around a common driveway.  Plans show each home would include three bedrooms above a two-car garage on the ground floor.

Payson Denney Architects is designing the project, which would consist of four-story buildings with rooftop decks. Plans show contemporary wood-frame buildings.

City records list the owner and developer of the site as Cy Kirshner through the entity Centaurus, LP.

The same project team previously brought a similar small lot development to a site near Ballona Creek at 4918 Centinela Avenue.
