The former home of Conrad's Restaurant in Downtown Glendale is poised to make way for apartments, per a notice issued by the City of Glendale.
The roughly .33-acre property, located north of the 134 Freeway at 820 N. Central Avenue, calls for the construction of a new eight-story building featuring 105 apartments.
Property records list the owner of the site as Bissias Dalkas & Riordan Ents.
Conrad's, which operated for nearly 40 years, ceased operating not long after the onset of the global pandemic in 2020.
The site, according to marketing materials, is zoned to accommodate construction of buildings up to 25 stories in height, with a by-right density of 250 residential units per acre.
