Eight months after we last checked in, the buildings of the Evolve South Bay complex are rapidly taking shape in Carson

Located on an 11.8-acre site at Main Street and Del Amo Boulevard, the development from MBK Rental Living will consist of a series of four-story structures containing 300 residential units.

The project, designed by Summa Architecture, will include amenities such as a fitness center, a swimming pool, outdoor fitness equipment, a dog park, co-working space, and a social lounge.

On the side of the property which faces the I-405 Freeway, MBK has commissioned artist Michael Che Romero of Vivache Designs to design a mural which wraps the Evolve logo with geometric shapes and a floral background pattern.

A project website indicates that apartments at Evolve South Bay are listed for rents between $2,485 and $4,165 per month.

MBK's project is one of a handful of large multifamily residential complexes in development in Carson, highlighted by Union South Bay, which is now wrapping up work at Carson Street and Avalon Boulevard.  An even larger development featuring over 1,000 apartments is planned on 20 acres nearby.
