Gwynne Pugh Urban Studio (GP-US) has announced the grand opening of a new Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Santa Monica.
Located at the corner of 5th Street and Colorado Avenue, the six-story building features 136 guest rooms above approximately 3,500 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space and an underground parking garage. Guests also benefit from a slew of amenity spaces, including a cantilevered pool deck.
Situated directly across the street from Metro's Downtown Santa Monica Station, the hotel features a large cut out above its second floor, providing views of the busy Expo Line terminus below.
The project comes from OTO Developmenta, a South Carolina-based real estate firm that specializes in hotels.
OTO and GP-US are collaborating on a similar Hampton Inn & Suites across the intersection.
