A surface parking lot located a quarter-mile west of the Expo Line's 17th Street/Santa Monica College Station may not be long for this world, as its owner pursues the development of mixed-use office building on the property.

The approximately half-acre project site, located at the corner of Colorado Avenue and Euclid Street, is slated for a three-story structure that would feature approximately 30,000 square feet of office space atop 4,000 square feet of ground-level commercial uses.  Plans also call for 92 parking spaces in a three-level subterranean garage.

A rendering shows a modern low-rise structure, with double-height windows above the ground-level commercial space.  The office space is broken into two separate areas, while the building itself is set back from the street to allow for outdoor seating.

The environmental report forecasts a construction start date in early 2018, with completion following in 2019.  An official schedule is unclear.
