Eight months after we last stopped by, Trammell Crow Company subsidiary High Street Residential has completed vertical construction at The Llewelyn, a new multifamily residential development in Chinatown.
Exterior finishes are now being applied to the seven-story structure, which is located just east of Los Angeles State Historic Park. The project - which is named for its location at the intersection of Main and Llewelyn Streets - will include 318 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments and parking for 526 vehicles.
KFA Architecture designed the project, which is shown as a contemporary podium-type building with colorful patterns along its southern facade. Plans call for on-site amenities including multiple courtyards, a gym, a swimming pool, a roof deck, and a community room, according to a project website.
Completion of construction is expected in 2021.
The project is the first of several multifamily residential developments planned in closer proximity to Los Angeles State Historic Park, including Atlas Capital Group's College Station apartments and a modular mixed-use complex at 1457 N. Main Street.
Trammell Crow Company and High Street Residential previously developed the nearby LA Plaza Village complex on Broadway.
