Arizona-based homebuilder Taylor Morrison is wrapping up construction at Encore, a project billed as the final development of for-sale homes in the Playa Vista neighborhood.

The project, which replaced a parking lot at 6500 S. Seabluff Drive, consists of 14 multi-story buildings featuring a mix of four- and five-bedroom layouts.  Each of the buildings includes a two-car garage.

Sales prices for Encore, according to a project landing page on the Playa Vista website, start at $3.1 million.

Encore sits just south of the Seabluff condominiums, a 75-unit for-sale housing development completed by the New Home Company in 2019.

Playa Vista, which originated as a private airfield for Hughes Aircraft, has gradually developed into a mixed-use neighborhood featuring homes, offices, and a central entertainment district.  Following the purchase of a 12-acre plot of land by Google in 2014, companies such as IMAX Corporation and Facebook have established large offices in the area.

Google, which already occupies office space built into the shell of the historic Spruce Goose hangar, purchased has not announced plans for its development site.  However, the vacant land is zoned for approximately 900,000 square feet of office space.
