Developer Century West Partners is putting the finishing touches on the final phase of Next on Lex, a mixed-use apartment complex in Downtown Glendale.

The project, which broke ground at 275 W. Lexington Drive in March 2016, is among the largest rental developments built in Los Angeles County in the last three years.  The completed project features 494 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments in addition to a ground-floor retail space leased by Citibank.

A project website advertises rents between $2,435 and $3,590 per month.

The $280-million complex, designed by KFA Architecture, is divided into four six-story buildings by an L-shaped paseo.  Other common features include a business center, a gym, a swimming pool, a rooftop deck, and underground parking.

Century West Partners, a joint venture between Chicago-based Fifield Companies and Santa Monica-based Cypress Equity Investments, has built thousands of apartments in Los Angeles County since being formed in 2010.  The developer completed a similar Next-branded property in Koreatown in 2017, and is planning a third project near the Gold Line in Monrovia.

Next on Lex is located one block south of 520 Central Avenue, a 1980s office building that is slated for conversion to condominiums, and adjacent to a proposed mixed-use project called the Campus on Brand.
