Two-and-a-half years after breaking ground in Koreatown, Los Angeles-based developer CityView is putting the finishing touches on the Pearl on Wilshire.

The seven-story building, which occupies a half city block at 3670 Wilshire Boulevard, will feature 346 apartments and 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space when it opens later this year. 

Santa Monica-based VTBS Architects designed the podium-type structure, which incorporates a swimming pool and a rooftop amenity deck.

Completion of the Pearl is set to occur later this year.

Under previous ownership, the property had been considered for one or more high-rise apartment towers.  Plans for a public park on the site were also considered, but ultimately went unrealized.
