Amidi Real Estate Group is moving forward with plans to construct a mixed-use complex in Downtown Glendale, according to filings with the city.
The proposed development, dubbed the Campus, would rise from an L-shaped site at 409-413 N. Brand Boulevard, replacing a small commercial building and a parking garage. Plans call for 219 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, nine live/work units and 5,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space.
El Segundo-based architecture firm Bijan & Associates is designing the Campus, which would feature tiered building heights that create terrace levels moving away from Brand Boulevard. The project would have a one-story profile fronting Brand, and peak at eight stories above-grade along Orange Street to the west.
The building would be oriented around a central courtyard, offering residential amenities, with a rooftop deck capping the eighth floor.
A timeline for the Campus is currently unclear.
A similar mixed-use project - the $280-million Next on Lex - is under construction west across Orange Street.
