Century West Partners has completed construction of the first phase of NEXT on Lex, a new apartment complex in Downtown Glendale which is billed as the largest rental community built in Los Angeles since 2016. 

Located at 275 W. Lexington Drive, the $280-million development consists of three six-story buildings containing 494 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as ground-floor retail space anchored by a Citibank branch.

The KFA Architecture-designed project incorporates amenities such as a gym, a swimming pool, and a rooftop deck.  The trio of podium-type buildings are arranged in an L shape, and are connected by a shared paseo.

"NEXT on Lex is different than other apartment communities in Glendale," said Century West Partners principal Randy Fifield in a release.  "It is built around a paseo, and the shared green space makes it more of a neighborhood experience."

Century West Partners completed a sister project known as NEXT on Sixth last year in Koreatown.  The developer is also in the midst of construction on a five-story, 90-unit development near the Expo Line in Downtown Santa Monica.
