A Hollywood Hills duplex dating to the early 20th century could make way for new small lot homes, per an application submitted late last month to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The proposed project, submitted by property owner and applicant David Hu, would rise from a site at 2048 Holly Drive. Plans call for subdividing the property to build up to five single-family homes, each standing up to 34 feet in height and featuring three bedrooms.
Gibbs Architects is designing the three-story buidlings, which would be arranged in a row. Each house would include a ground-floor garage and a rooftop deck, as indicated in plans.
The project site, located just north of the US-101 Freeway and one block to the east of Cahuenga Boulevard, sits less than a half-mile from the Hollywood Bowl.
