Four rental units in Pico-Union dating to the early 1920s could be redeveloped with small lot homes, per an application submitted recently to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed project, slated for a single parcel located at 1157-1159 S. Kingsley Drive and 2905-2907 W. 12th Street, calls for subdividing the roughly 5,900-square-foot property into five lots, each of which would be redeveloped with a single-family home.

Eric Tsang Architects, which is also listed as the property owner and developer of the site, has proposed a series of contemporary three-story homes for the site, clad in stucco and covered with wood slats. Floor plans show three-bedroom layouts, each located above a two-car garage at street level.

The property was sold in June 2021 for approximately $1 million, according to city records.
