A vacant plot of land in Silver Lake is slated for redevelopment with housing, per an application submitted late last month to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed project, slated for a .18-acre parcel located at 2772 Rowena Avenue, calls for the construction of five single-family dwellings via the small lot subdivision ordinance. Each would feature three bedrooms above a two-car garage at ground level.

Local architect Tracy A. Stone is designing the development, named the Rowena Residences, which would stand three stories in height and feature rooftop decks. Architectural plans show exterior finishes including stucco and fiber cement panels.

City records list the project applicant as Poan Chen through the San Francisco-based entity 2772 Rowena, LLC.

The project site last sold for $1.4 million in late 2021, according to Los Angeles County Assessor's data.
