WS Communities has completed vertical construction at 1550 Lincoln Boulevard, the site of its latest Downtown Santa Monica apartment complex.

The project, which occupies a corner site at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Colorado Avenue, stands five stories in height.  Plans call for a total of 100 one-, two-, and three-bedroom dwellings, in addition to approximately 11,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and parking for 232 vehicles.

KFA Architecture designed the contemporary low-rise development, which will offer a porous ground floor with a new courtyard fronting Colorado Avenue and a pedestrian paseo connecting with Lincoln Boulevard.

Completion is anticipated in late 2020.

The project joins three other mixed-use buildings now rising on Lincoln Boulevard.  The three others, which are being developed by Century West Partners and Cypress Equity Investments, will collectively account for more than 400 apartments.

Just south on Colorado Avenue, WS Communities has three additional affordable and market-rate developments planned for properties which abut the 1550 Lincoln development.
