Located at 4760-4766 Melrose Avenue, the five-story building will feature 39 apartments reserved for formerly unhoused persons earning at or below 35, 50, and 60 percent of the area median income.

Rents will start at $509 per month, according to a staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee

Togawa Smith Martin is designing the project, which is depicted in renderings as a contemporary low-rise structure capped by a rooftop deck.

The roughly $24.1-million development is on pace to open for residents in Summer 2021, according to the Affirmed Housing website

Affirmed Housing is also in the midst of construction at similar supportive housing projects in Westlake and South Los Angeles, and is planning two additional developments in the Westmont and Sawtelle communities.
