In West Adams, the wood frame of a $41-million permanent supportive housing complex from PATH Ventures is beginning to take shape.

The PATH Villas Montclair, located at 4220 Montclair Street, will consist of a five-story building featuring 46 apartments above ground-floor parking for 14 vehicles.

According to a staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, the affordable units - all of which will have studio floor plans - will be priced for households earning at or below 35, 45, 50, and 60 percent of the area median income.  Rents will range from $509 to $763 per month.

Gonzalez Goodale Architects is designing the contemporary low-rise apartment building, which will also include a community room, case manager's offices, a garden, and amenity decks at the second and fifth floors.
