A multifamily residential development could rise just south of the intersection of Pico Boulevard and St. Andrews Place, according to plans submitted yesterday to the City of Los Angeles.

The project site, a single parcel at 1310 S. St. Andrews Place, is slated for the construction of a five-story building that would feature 55 apartments - including six for extremely low-income households - above parking at the ground and basement levels.

The proposed development is being entitled through the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines, with requests for a height increase and reductions in required open space and yard setbacks in exchange for providing affordable housing.

The project would replace a two-story residential building which dates to the early 20th century, as well as a small commercial structure that was added to the property in 1980.

Additional details regarding the proposed development are unclear based on its case filing.
