A year after we last checked in, the wood-and-concrete frame of a mixed-use apartment building is now topped at 901 N. Vine Street in Hollywood.

The project, which replaced a car wash at the intersection of Vine and Willoughby Avenue, consists of a five-story edifice which will contain 76 one- and two-bedroom apartments above 3,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  Plans also call for parking for 90 vehicles located at-grade and in one basement level.

The podium-type development is designed by Plus Architects.  Architectural plans show that the project will include common open space amenities and an exterior of stucco, cement, and metal.

City records list the developer of the mixed-use complex as Vine Equity Capital, LLC.

The development site is located near new office campuses located at 817 and 1341 N. Vine Street. Both have been leased to Netflix.
