After more than three years of construction, the $700-million USC Village is now complete.
Drone footage posted to the official USC YouTube page offers a bird's eye glimpse of the of the 15-acre complex, which functions as an expansion of the existing campus. The Village replaces the former University Village shopping center with a series of low-rise buildings that will house 2,700 student beds, new academic facilities and approximately 115,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space.
According to LAist, the roster of commercial tenants includes Trader Joe's, Target, CVS Pharmacy, Trejo's Cantina, Rance's Chicago PIzza, Baked Bear, Honeybird, SunLife Organics, Greenleaf, Wahlburgers, Cafe Dulce and BBCM.
Architecture firm Harley Ellis Devereaux designed the project, which could be followed by similar developments to the west along Jefferson Boulevard.
