Architectural plans posted by the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council give a first look at a proposed small lot subdivision near Van Nuys Boulevard.

The project, slated for a single property at 14540 Weddington Street, calls for razing a late 1940s duplex to make way for the construction of four townhome style dwellings.

Applicant Lilly Viveros has tapped Compudraft to design the project.  A rendering depicts a collection of contemporary three-story structures arranged in an L shape.  Plans call for a mix of two- and three-bedroom floor plans, with each house sitting atop a two-car garage.

A similar development consisting of ten detached condominiums opened on an adjacent site approximately 20 years ago.

The project site is located less than a half-mile south of the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard, where a 55-unit development for low-income seniors is planned.
