Just south of the San Bernardino Freeway in Boyle Heights, the wood frame of a new hotel development is largely complete.
Under plans approved by the City of Ls Angeles, the four-story building at Pomeroy Avenue and Soto Street will consist of 81 guest rooms above a podium structure containing a breakfast area and a parking garage with capacity for 61 vehicles.
The contemporary low-rise building is designed by Mid-Cities Engineering, according to city records.
Construction of the project began in April 2019.
City records list the project's applicant as Amit Patel, who manages a hotel development firm called Stay Hotels Group, LLC.
The property was sold for approximately $2 million in 2015.
