Construction is now underway for the new Brentwood offices of developer Thomas Safran & Associates, a low-rise structure designed by the architect Frank Gehry.
Located on a triangular site at 11811 San Vicente Boulevard, the three-story, 10,000-square foot building with parking for 36 vehicles. The website Westside Today reported in 2010 that the $8.5-million project would house the entirety of Safran's 36-person staff.
The Gehry-designed building will reportedly incorporate a green roof with a "garden-like atmosphere." Other features of the project include solar panels, a prominent clock tower and a public plaza fronting San Vicente and Montana Avenue with a fountain.
