The project, which was approved last month by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission, would rise at the southeast corner of 11th and Main Streets. Plans call for an eight-story building that would feature 379 apartments - with 42 set aside for very-low-income households - above 26,000 square feet of street-level retail space.
MVE's design for the mid-rise structure includes a publicly accessible courtyard that would be sited mid-block along Main Streets. Other communal open spaces would include a roof deck and a swimming pool.
Construction of the project would occur over approximately two years, although a timeline has not been set.
