An adaptive reuse project is slated to convert a multi-tenant auto repair center near a soon-to-open Metro stop into housing, according to a notice issued by the City of La Verne.

The project, slated for a site at 2478 Arrow Highway, calls for transforming 11 existing commercial spaces into a 10-unit live/work development with one retail space. Plans also call for parking for 22 vehicles.

Plans call for 15 percent of the housing to be set aside for rent by very low-, low-, and moderate-income renters, according to the notice.

Records list the owner and applicant behind the project as Arrow White Corner, LLC, an entity linked with Pomona-based developer Arteco.

A property located directly north across Arrow Highway has previously been slated for redevelopment with a ground-up project featuring 367 homes. But sites sits within walking distance of the A Line's future La Verne Station, which is scheduled to begin serving passengers on September 19.
