Construction is complete for a Frank Gehry-designed office building in El Segundo.

The project, called Ascend, is a warehouse-like two-story building featuring 80,000 square feet of rentable space hovering above a street-level parking area.  The building's cavernous interior features 24-foot-tall ceilings, wrapped with large glass panel walls and 16,000 square feet of outdoor patio space.

Ascend, which was developed by Beverly Hills-based real estate firm NSB Associates, is part of a larger office and industrial complex called the Utah Avenue Campus.  The new construction at 2330 Utah Avenue is located northeast of the Green Line's Douglas Station.

NSB Associates is also working with Gehry on a proposed development which would bring an eight-story, 200,000-square-foot office building to a property in Playa Vista.
