Nearly one year after we last dropped by, photos from Michael Hayes show that glass is now climbing the concrete frame of a Frank Gehry-designed office building in Brentwood.
Thre three-story structure, located at 11811 San Vicente Boulevard, will serve as the new headquarters of affordable housing developer Thomas Safran & Associates. The completed building will feature 10,000 square feet of occupiable place atop parking for 36 vehicles.
As of 2010, it was reported that the project carried an $8.5-million budget, and would provide work space for the entire 36-person staff of TSA.
A model of the low-rise structure shows a clock tower and a public plaza rising at the point where the building fronts San Vicente and Montana Avenue.
TSA is one of the most prolific builders of subsidized affordable housing in the Los Angeles area. In March, the developer began construction for a 51-unit apartment complex in Carson.
